Be uplifted by this enchanting blend of string instruments from the Nelson Centre of Musical Arts. Relax and enjoy the lyrical sounds they weave together with a programme spanning from Corelli to the Beatles.
The Nelson String Collective is comprised of talented local musicians, NCMA teaching staff and aspiring students. We host two major performances annually, along with outreach initiatives to connect with the community and spread classical music beyond the confines of concert halls.
Performances reflect a commitment to excellence and the overarching objective of enhancing the standard of orchestral playing in the Nelson region. Our repertoire ranges from concert hall classical to the lighter, popular end.
