Nelson Fringe Festival Specific Grants 2026


What we are looking for

These grants are aimed at supporting artists create and perform work at the 2026 Nelson Fringe Festival.

The Conditions

Please note that we may ask to meet in person to discuss grants before awarding.

  • You will be asked to present receipts for ALL money spent.
  • We do not fund artists wages but you will receive a percentage of the Box Office that you can pay to yourself and your team.
  • We will fund fees for artists leading workshops.

Nelson Fringe Grants supporting Māori artists & Nelson Fringe Grants supporting emerging artists from migrant and former refugee communities.

These grants are aimed at artists from these communities based in Te Tauihu (Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough).

Grants are aimed at creating work in the 2026 Nelson Fringe Festival, this includes all kinds of performance. It can also include workshops during the Festival.
