The National Association of Fringe Festivals are excited to announce that our new National Tour Ready Funding applications are NOW OPEN for submission!
With the tautoko of The Ministry of Culture and Heritage Manatū Taonga, the NZ Fringe Network now has funding available to support fringe artists that are ready to tour to fringe festivals across Aotearoa in 2024 and 2025.
Applicants can apply for up to $8,000 to tour their Fringe show to a minimum of two of the following NAFF Festivals:
– Auckland Fringe 30 Aug-17 Sept 2024
– Whangarei Fringe 27 Sept-13 Oct 2024
– New Zealand Fringe in 2025
– Dunedin Fringe in 2025
– Nelson Fringe in 2025
– Fringe in the ‘Stings in 2025
To be eligible your show must have been presented at a fringe festival in New Zealand within the last three years and you must have permanent NZ residency.
The aim of this funding is to support artists to take their work to other regions, therefore, you cannot apply for funding to present your show at a Fringe Festival you have previously presented the show at. Applicants are welcome to submit a video outlining the project if written applications are inaccessible however, all applicants must provide a clear project budget for the proposed tour.
Applicants will be notified of the results in May.
